Care firm expands after new funding deal

A WARWICKSHIRE personnel care recruitment firm has expanded its service offering after a new funding deal.

The Rugby branch of national care personnel provider Kare Plus is launching its own domiciliary service to provide care to people in their own homes.

Established earlier this year by husband and wife Richard and Amy Hardy, with funding support from The Royal Bank of Scotland, Kare Plus Rugby provides staffing solutions to private health, care and nursing facilities.  It is part of the nationwide Kare Plus franchise which now has over 60 branches across the UK.

The launch of the new domiciliary service is part of the duo’s strategic growth plan for the business, which has already seen it expand at a faster-than-projected rate.

Registered Manager Cheryl Jones has joined the company to help establish the new division and in so doing brings 20 years’ experience in the domiciliary care sector.

The firm anticipates the new service will create a further 40 jobs in the local area during the next six months alone.

Mrs Hardy, owner of Kare Plus Rugby, said: “Having done a great deal of work with the elderly in recent years, I became acutely aware of just how important the provision of high quality care is for our aging population.  With this thought constantly at the forefront of my mind I began to look into how I could combine my desire to support this generation whilst making a living to help support my own family.

“When I discovered Kare Plus I really felt like I had found the opportunity I was looking for and since we began trading the business has developed steadily.  I’m really pleased with our progress, we now employ a large team of nurses and carers and the launch of the domiciliary care service will see these number increase further, whilst also supporting a wider proportion of our community.”

RBS once again provided the funds to enable the expansion to go ahead.

Kip Chahal, Relationship Manager at Royal Bank of Scotland said: “Kare Plus is a solid franchise and I am pleased that we have been able to support Amy as she has launched the business in Rugby.

“As a young mum and a new starter in the care sector she is proof that through hard work and a great deal of passion you can achieve your ambitions.  The new domiciliary care service will really enhance the firm’s offering and will provide much needed support to those needing extra care in the region.”
