Flurry of new deals at Warwickshire shopping centre

AN out-of-town shopping park on the outskirts of Coventry has seen a flurry of leasing deals and the arrival of seven new retailers.

Warwickshire Shopping Park, on the A46 to the east of the city, is owned by Aviva Investors. It was opened in 2013, with anchor tenants including M&S Food Hall, Boots, Asda Living, Arcadia, and H&M.

A marketing campaign supported by agents Cushman & Wakefield, Savills and Rob Alston Retail, has seen deals agreed for 25,000 sq ft of space.

New occupiers include DW Sports (5,000 sq ft), Pure Gym (10,000 sq ft), Card Factory (2,000 sq ft), The Eye Clinics (670 sq ft), HSL (2,000 sq ft), Cancer Research (3,500 sq ft) and Barnardo’s (1,300 sq ft).

Ed Purcell, of Cushman & Wakefield, said: “We have injected new life into the scheme with these recent lettings. The shopping park is continuing to see a decrease in the amount of void space, and occupancy and retailer sales have increased.”

Two additional units are now under offer, leaving four more units to let.

Camilla Hinds, asset manager at Aviva Investors, said: “We are delighted with the leasing success we have seen here in recent months.  These new lettings strengthen the tenant line up further and fulfill our aim of providing a broad tenant mix ranging from convenience to fitness and fashion.”
