7 of the UK’s coolest offices

Ever sit at your desk and appreciate the incredible décor around you? Well, you’re one of the few lucky ones who can do this. The majority of office workers spend their days in boring offices with no personality and some would even argue that by doing so, it affects their productivity. Perhaps the standard office worker wouldn’t mind going to work so bad if the office was a cool place to be? Here are just a handful of some of the coolest offices in the UK, which one is your favourite?

Moneypenny – Wrexham
Ever fancied working in a tree house? Haven’t we all? Moneypenny in Wrexham recently opened the doors to their brand new office which has been designed to be the happiest workplace in the UK. The 91,000-sq ft building, which is decked out with its own village pub, sun terrace, a duck pond and even giant giraffes, is able to accommodate over 1,000 staff members and even has an atrium with stadium seating and a restaurant offering free breakfast.

RentalCarsRentalcars.com – Manchester
The online car hire service’s international contact centre in Manchester has been designed with the city in mind. Each floor has been inspired by Manchester’s icons and heritage, from science and industry to a Northern Quarter vibe area. Not only is there a reds and blues themed conference room, there is also a café which was designed to look like the legendary Manchester nightclub Hacienda as well as jukebox which of course, only plays Manchester music.

Gensler – Birmingham
A world leading design firm needs an impressive office right? That is exactly what they have achieved in this super cool and slick office. The office, which is in the city’s creative quarter at The Custard Factory in Digbeth, is kitted out with impressive furniture as well as huge windows which make the space feel big and airy. There is also an industrial style kitchen and loads of cool light fittings, making it an interior design heaven.

Angel SolutionsAngel Solutions – Liverpool
Angel Solutions have come a long way since the days of them working in a garage in the city. The software company now has a circus themed office with over 30 workers and transformed the office almost five years ago with the intention of it being a place that reflects the personality of its workers. The office has a gypsy caravan for meetings, a grandstand for presentations, fairground mirrors, a popcorn machine and a whole range of other circus curiosities. The staff have even learned how to juggle – sounds like a fun place to work!

EpiphanyEpiphany Search – Leeds
Epiphany, which is located on Leeds Dock, features blackboard walls and big enough spaces for all 170 staff members to come together. The creative agency’s aim with its office design was to create an environment where workers felt comfortable with places to have some fun during their work day. The office boasts ping pong tables, a pool table, arcade machines and consoles for the whole workforce to enjoy.

 

383 Projects383 Project – Birmingham
This office in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter was designed to create an innovative space that also connects all employees. 383, which is a digital experience studio using technology and design to reimagine how people experience the world’s biggest companies, uses iBeacons in their office which shows who is and isn’t in the building and also has a custom sign-in app for visitors. The office also has a large communal space and a basement area.

PKF Cooper Parry – Derby
When moving into their new office at Sky View at East Midlands Airport, PKF Cooper Parry asked their designers to create the exact opposite to what a normal accountancy firm would look like. The company were eager to tear up the rule book with their office and create a fun area for its workers. The office boats a tree house with a rope swing and a dream room as well as a vintage table football game, TV viewing area, table tennis area and a space to kick back with a few minutes on the Xbox. When can we join?!
