6 things to do in the West Midlands this weekend

Creepy Critters
Go on the hunt for all things gruesome this weekend at The Black Country Living Museum. Head along with the family to discover how critters of all shapes used to rule the roost. The whole family will be able to discover the beasts that bugged Black Country folk back in the day and how they dealt with them as well as meeting the doctors who cashed in on the diseases of the 19th century. Improv FestivalBirmingham Improv Festival
Birmingham’s first ever Improv Festival arrives in the city this weekend at the Blue Orange Theatre. The weekend is set to be jam packed with improvised plays, musicals, sketches, puppets, dramas and much more. SVR’s Christmas Gift Fayre takes place this weekend at The Engine House Visitor Centre in Highley. The fayre will showcase a range of stalls for you to get started on your Christmas shopping. Bewdley’s The Melting Pot will be leading pottery painting workshops for the family to enjoy. Sixties lovers are in for a treat this Sunday, with a nostalgic spectacular taking to the stage at Birmingham’s Symphony Hall. DiawliDiwali in Wolverhampton
Diwali, the festival of lights, will be celebrated at Phoenix Park in Blakenhall next weekend, featuring Bollywood and Punjabi singer Master Saleem who will be performing at his first Mela in the UK. The event, which will take place on Saturday from 4pm-9pm, will feature music and dance with Master Saleem and his band, plus other singers, dancers and entertainers, culminating in a firework display as the lights are switched in the evening.There will also be a wide range of stalls and refreshments.
