New changes to Paradise roadworks take effect

NEW changes affecting the roadworks associated with Birmingham’s new Paradise development came into effect today.

Traffic heading into the city from Summer Row has been permanently rerouted to the new road layout around the former Paradise Circus.

Additionally, a new route for pedestrians and cyclists is in operation through the revamped Fletchers Walk and newly opened up Easy Row.

Engineers said that for people unable to use steps or the ramp leading to Broad Street by Alpha Tower, a new lift has been installed next to Chamberlain House at the top of Easy Row.

An additional lift for access to Birmingham Conservatoire only, is available in Fletchers Walk next to the stairway.
