Civil engineering consultancy expands with new Birmingham office

STRUCTURAL and civil engineering consultancy, Farrow Walsh has expanded its Midlands operation with the opening of a new office in Birmingham.

Situated in Bradford Street, Digbeth, the new office becomes the firm’s second premises in the region after its head office in Leicester.

Chris Farrow, managing director, said: “On the back of a number of key projects that we have undertaken in the area and also the expansion of our pre-planning services, we needed to be in a position to service our customers from a local office.

“We have been looking for the right premises for a while and are delighted to have found an office into which we can expand our team.”

The firm recently attended the Coventry University EC Careers Fair to plan for future recruitment needs.

The fifth Annual Careers Fair saw the firm exhibiting alongside the likes of Jaguar Land Rover, Airbus, Laing O’Rourke and Unipart.

Mr Farrow said the event had been very useful, especially as it was industry specific and gave the firm direct access to students looking to work with the company.

“It also gave us the opportunity to gauge the level of interest in Farrow Walsh and adapt our recruitment strategy accordingly. We are certainly planning on attending more Careers Fairs, and not just in the East Midlands. We are a growing national company and need to recruit the best in order to continue to expand and service our client base,” he said.
