Pest control business captures competitor

A BIRMINGHAM pest control business has made its third acquisition in four years after buying a competitor.
Busters Group has bought Evergreen Pest Control in Wolverhampton and now has a workforce of more than 50 staff, laying claim to be the largest independent pest control business in the Midlands.
Dave Nash, who founded Busters Group 15 years ago, said: “We see this as another rung on the ladder of our acquisition strategy.
“We now have more than 50 staff and the infrastructure to carry out work all over the UK, which shows there is still room for SMES in an industry which many believe, has been sewn up by large corporates.”
The company’s previous acquisitions include Cambridge-based Five Star Pest Control and fellow Midlands firm Central Pest Control.
Busters Group, which is based in Kings Norton, has diversified into different groups of related environmental problems with Garden Busters, and Hygiene Busters.
