Birmingham pub creates 50 jobs after million-plus facelift

A BIRMINGHAM pub has created 50 new jobs after undergoing a major refurbishment.

The Manor Farm, on Chester Road, Castle Bromwich has been the beneficiary of a million pound plus investment.

The investment, by pubco Greene King, has seen the introduction of a new carvery.

The pub, part of Greene King’s Farmhouse Inns brand, also has an onsite bakery, producing homemade cakes.

Keen to maximise revenue streams, the pub will also be serving breakfast and a large selection of ice creams.

Manor Farm general manager, Simon Ward, said: “We’re excited to have undergone such a huge transformation. Manor Farm is at the centre of the Castle Bromwich community and it’s great to be able to provide an improved food offering.”

Greene King has been keen to broaden its presence in the Midlands market since its £750m acquisition of Spirit Pub Co last year.
