£1m investment creates Alpha co-working space

Alpha Birmingham

A CO-WORKING hub that can be home to nearly 200 people will be launched in the spring after a £1m investment.
Property company CEG has continued its investment in Alpha, the skyscraper next to the Arena Central development in Birmingham city centre.
Its £15m programme of work, which has refurbished common spaces and empty offices in the 28-storey tower, has helped attract Lombard Risk Management, Galliford Try, Probrand and Ecclesiastical Insurance Group.
The latest work will see 14,000 sq ft of space across the 21st and 22nd floors converted into a collaborative working environment that is being branded as Alpha Works.
Lawrence Escott, investment manager at CEG, said: “The city’s start-up scene is booming and leading the way in innovation and we are looking to help foster and promote this culture with the help of Alpha Works.
“We saw a clear need to create a flexible, unique, well designed and competitive space, one that is not only located in a place that inspire and nurtures creativity but one that provides the space to work with and alongside other likeminded people to share ideas and collaborate.”
