Wheels firm on a roll after new acquisition

A STAFFORDSHIRE firm supplying wheels and tyres to the caravan, trailer and commercial markets has grown with the acquisition of a firm in Yorkshire.

Wheel Solutions, based in Cannock, is one of the UK’s largest independent suppliers of wheels, tyres, wheel assemblies and other components.

The firm also has a base in Northamptonshire which specialises in chassis for the leisure lodge and residential park home market.

It has acquired Gateway Chassis, based in Kingston-upon-Hull, which manufactures chassis for the leisure market including caravan holiday homes and leisure lodges.

Wheel Solutions said the firm was a great addition and perfectly complemented its existing business.

The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Legal advice was provided by the corporate and commercial law team at Ansons Solicitors, led by Hilary D’Cruz, and supported by corporate solicitor Jamie Gill and commercial property solicitor Laura Pyatt.
 
Commercial finance advice was provided by Roy Farmer and Rob Wilson of Dains Corporate Finance and funding for the transaction was provided by Barclays.
