SAP specialist secures new private equity investment

BIRMINGHAM-based Edenhouse, the UK’s largest independent Systems, Applications & Products (SAP) specialist, has secured a minority investment from private equity house, ECI Partners.

The deal, the terms of which have not been disclosed, was led by global investment bank GCA Altium.

Edenhouse is an SAP ‘one-stop shop’ offering the full range of consulting, support and implementation services across the entire portfolio of SAP products. The business has more than 250 permanent onshore consultants based in its offices in Coleshill, Farnborough and Manchester.

Edenhouse has delivered more than 800 SAP projects and currently serves around 300 enterprise customers, as well as a growing number of SMEs, across multiple industry verticals.

Its support-led model is intended to generate market-leading utilisation rates, a high level of recurring revenues and strong cash generation. The firm has experienced year-on-year growth since its inception in 2008 and is now the UK’s largest independent SAP specialist.

As part of the deal, the Edenhouse management team, led by CEO Paul Solomon, will continue to manage and grow the business with the financial and strategic support of ECI Partners.

A team at GCA Altium, comprising Stephen Georgiadis (Managing Director), Oliver Vaughan (Director) and Declan O’Connor (Associate), advised Edenhouse on the transaction. The latest deal sees GCA build on its leading position as an international technology sector adviser, having completed over 20 transactions in the sector in the past six months.

Paul Solomon, CEO of Edenhouse, said: “GCA Altium were first class. Their experience and detailed knowledge of our sector enabled us to deliver the right result for all stakeholders – and in ECI, we have found the ideal partner to take our business forward.”

Stephen Georgiadis, managing director at GCA Altium, added: “Edenhouse has demonstrated its growth potential, with impressive year-on-year figures since being founded in 2008. The management team has developed a clear differentiation in the marketplace, which has enabled the business to target customers of any size.

“We were pleased to have helped the team to secure the investment from ECI, and as one of the UK’s leading technology investors, we are confident the firm represents a strong and supportive partner during the company’s future development.”

Richard Chapman, partner at ECI Partners, said: “We are looking forward to working with the team at Edenhouse and are excited to be part of its future journey. The business employs very talented and committed people who are delivering high levels of customer satisfaction.

“ECI has been investing in the technology sector for over 30 years, and Edenhouse is a great fit into our stable of past and current technology-led investments.”

An EY team, led by Richard Harding and Steven Kingham, undertook vendor due diligence on the deal.
