Solihull pest control group cleans up with new acquisition
Solihull-based facilities management group, Servest, has expanded operations with the acquisition of a Scottish pest control business.
Based at Trinity Park, Servest is a globally operating company that offers a diverse range of services, including cleaning, pest control and waste management.
The group has acquired Dundee-based Pro-Check Environmental Services (Northern) in an undisclosed deal.
Operating mainly throughout Scotland, Pro-Check delivers specialist pest control, cleaning, hygiene services and environmental solutions.
Bolton-based KBS Corporate advised on the deal, identifying the growing pest-control market as a key value driver of its client, Pro-Check.
The research team at KBS Corporate compiled a list comprising more than 80 potential buyers within the trade sector. This resulted in a dozen parties registering interest in acquiring the business, which was reduced to four buyer meetings.
Sonia Cottrell, deal executive at KBS Corporate, managed the deal through to completion.
She said: “Throughout the sale, KBS Corporate developed a good relationship with the exiting shareholder of Pro-Check. The acquisition of Pro-Check is a great fit for Servest, as both companies share combined values and operate within the same sector, and offer the opportunity for expansion within the market.”
