New CFO announced for HomeServe

Home maintenance group, HomeServe has announced the appointment of a new Chief Financial Officer.

The appointment of David Bower is with immediate effect and his promotion will see him join the HomeServe board and the HomeServe executive committee from today.
 
Mr Bower joined Walsall-based HomeServe in 2005 and he has undertaken a number of senior divisional and group finance roles including spending six years as Group Finance Director.  He has been Interim Chief Financial Officer since June 2016.  

Prior to joining HomeServe, he spent 12 years at Arthur Andersen, later Deloitte, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant.   
 
Richard Harpin, Chief Executive, HomeServe, said: “Following a thorough internal and external process, we are delighted to announce David’s appointment.  He has already proven his capabilities as CFO, is a tremendous asset to HomeServe and will be a strong addition to the board.”

The appointment follows the announcement on Friday (February 3) that HomeServe is to invest £37m in two online platforms which will boost its digital presence and improve the provision of online tradespeople.
