Retailer signs up to fill BHS void
The former BHS store in Redditch is to be filled by The Range, after a deal was done to take the entire unit.
The retailer has signed a 10-year lease for 46,000 sq ft at The Kingfisher Centre and plans to open the store by mid-April.
Property investor Capital & Regional, which has a 20% joint venture interest, simultaneously announced the letting of space to Lidl at the former BHS store in Walthamstow, south London.
“In the six months since BHS closed, we have already re-let the majority of the stores,” said James Ryman, investment director at Capital & Regional.
“We have continued to make excellent progress in securing new lettings on the former BHS stores in our portfolio, enhancing our occupier mix with a range of national brands with strong covenants.
