No sleeping on the job as mattress manufacturer completes speedy relocation

A Birmingham mattress manufacturer has relocated the short distance to Smethwick to take on the space it needs for expansion.

Sleep Revolution, which had been based in Edgbaston, has taken over two industrial units at the Booth Street industrial estate on a 10-year lease at £80,000 per annum.

Harris Lamb oversaw the letting, which completed within 10 days of solicitors being instructed.

Alex Eagleton, of Harris Lamb’s Agency department, said the continuing industrial stock shortage in the region, along with Booth Street’s good motorway access, had led to the swift completion of the deal.

“These units are located in an established industrial area, just a mile away from Junction 1 of the M5. That, combined with its significant floor-space, made it an ideal address to site a manufacturing and distribution centre,” he said.

“Sites of this calibre are currently in very short supply, and we quickly identified the tenant for our client, landlord Students Stay, and ensured clear lines of communication between both sets of solicitors in order to meet the objectives of both the landlord and the new tenants.”
