Severe delays on M5 motorway in both directions

A lorry crashing into the central reservation of the M5 motorway between Halesowen and Bromsgrove is causing severe delays in both directions.

The delays are northbound between J5 (A38, Droitwich) and J3 (A456, Halesowen, Birmingham) northbound and southbound between J2 (A4123, Oldbury) and J4.

At 5.55pm, delays northbound had eased slightly to around 50 minutes while southbound delays were adding an extra 40 minutes to journey times.

Highways England is advising drivers to consider alternative routes.
