Swiss firm set to move into new offices after £6m investment

An international business supplying sanitary products is set to move into its new headquarters in Warwick following completion of a multi-million development.

The development at Tournament Fields represents a £6m investment by Swiss firm Geberit and the new 25,000 sq ft, two-storey building will serve as its UK base.

Sackville Developments, part of the CWC Group, undertook the development project. Sackville also owns the 60-acre Tournament Fields and agreed the terms of the lease with Geberit.

Geberit, which has been based at Tournament Fields since 2009, recently purchased Staffordshire-based Twyford to widen its product offering. The new offices have been designed to incorporate the new acquisition, while facilitating future expansion.

The new headquarters is double the size of Geberit’s original building and the offices will accommodate 82 members of staff overseeing all areas of the business, including marketing, IT, human resources, research and development, customer support and sales.

Paul Shanley, director at Sackville Developments, said: “We are very pleased that Geberit’s new headquarters has been completed on time, within budget and look forward to seeing staff move in.

“Geberit is the European market leader in sanitary technology, with a global orientation, and the company’s decision to expand with a building twice the size of its current facility demonstrates how Tournament Fields can support business growth.”

Mark Larden, managing director, Geberit UK, said: “We are incredibly excited to take up residence in our new headquarters and this definitely marks a significant milestone in our company development.

“It was only eight years ago that we moved into our other purpose-built building on Tournament Fields, having relocated the business from Kent.  However, thanks to our strong growth trajectory we outgrew that premises in just a few short years and we were more or less bursting at the seams just before we moved.

“I’m delighted that the whole team is freshly enthused by the fantastic new building and critically we have plenty of room to grow; which is important because we have ambitious plans.”

As well as extensive office space, the new UK head office, designed by Warwick-based Corstorphine Wright Architects, also includes a 400 sqm showroom featuring the latest bathroom designs and technology.

Geberit was assisted by property agents EHB Commercial, which in turn worked with Sackville Developments’ property agents Wareing & Company and Savills to finalise the lease deal.
