Experience an extraordinary collection of short films from the mountain film festival. Location: Rode Hall, Stoke-on-Trent
It’s the first weekend of the month, which can only mean one thing – the monthly return of Rode Hall Farmers’ Market. With more than 70 artisan food and craft stalls from across the region, it’s a great place to visit for the whole family. Many of the specialist stall holders are award winning and visitors travel from far and wide just to sample their produce. Entertainment including seasonal craft activities and live music from a variety of local bands and musicians, will also be on offer at the market.

3. National Wedding show national wedding show

Location: NEC, Birmingham
The UK’s biggest wedding show is coming to the National Exhibition Centre this weekend so you can try, buy, book and hire everything you need for your special day. With over 300 wedding specialists from bridal boutiques and florists to jewellers and photographers, this is the ultimate wedding shopping experience for those about to take the plunge.

Location: Various venues across Lichfield
Lichfield Festival will be bringing the best national and international artists and performers to the West Midlands this year for a celebration of classical music, dance, drama, film, jazz, literature, poetry, visual arts and world music. The programme is wide and varied with an outdoor cinema adding to the range of concerts, gigs and talks. There will also be a large number of free events including the Festival Fringe, Arts Market, Sundown Jazz and visual arts exhibitions.

The Birmingham Hippodrome is welcoming Dance:Sampled to the venue for this weekend only.
