Digital giants share insights with Midlands marketers

EXPERTS from digital industry giants including Facebook and Apple spoke at a conference of regional marketing professionals at an event organised by Midlands agency McCann Erikson.

McCann Interactive, the agency’s digital arm organised its ‘ Digital Well Told seminar’, which also attracted speakers from Google and comScore the leading online marketing insights company.

More than 100 of the region’s leading communications and marketing experts attended the inaugural event in Birmingham.
 
Paul Goode, head of industry relations at comScore, provided a preview of latest digital measurement and evaluation methods, and challenged clients to measure their agencies differently through 2011 as the landscape has changed.
 
Dan Stokely, senior product manager at Google, demonstrated the internet giant’s Google, including new features on Google Search that impact website creative, and updates to Google Maps and Google Earth.

David Parfect from Facebook UK talked about  how brands can best use the platform to engage with users.
 
Gray Dudek, managing director of McCann Interactive, said: “Digital Well Told 2010 was an opportunity for McCann Interactive to showcase the fantastic relationships we have with the key players in the digital space and to preview the latest digital thinking and applications. Having them all in the same place on the same day was extremely useful for everyone. We could hear the latest developments direct from the different industry leaders, in context with one another, to help us to integrate them into our plans for 2011.”
