The FSB Shropshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire region is located on the western side of the wider West Midlands region and borders Wales. Covering an area of c. 2,900 square miles and with a combined population of c. 1.01 million people, the region has long been associated with agriculture – particularly the growing of fruit, hops and other food and drink produce.

However, the region’s business base has – and continues – to diversify, with growth in key industries in argi–tech, pharmaceuticals, cyber security & defence and advanced manufacturing.  In fact recent years have seen a considerable shift in the region’s economy – with a reducing ‘traditional’ agricultural sector and an increase in the industrial and service sectors.

In this region FSB works hard to support the growth of local small businesses – by engaging with key business, political, media and academic stakeholders, providing signposting services to local business support opportunities, connecting members to the supply chain in large-scale infrastructure projects and raising the profile of the region’s capabilities in key sectors.

We also have a full programme of ‘low-or-no-cost’ networking events and we are always keen to hear from smaller businesses doing ‘big’ or ‘extraordinary’ things.  We showcase their achievements and promote the region’s strengths through numerous communication channels – online and printed, traditional and social media and through our on-going engagement with priority stakeholders.

We are keen to hear from small businesses who want to ‘get involved’.  So please, feel free to get in touch!
