Bygott Biggs announces partnership with Smart Works

Bygott Biggs, the legal recruitment specialist with offices in Birmingham, Nottingham, Manchester and Leeds, has announced a new partnership with Smart Works, Birmingham – a charity that provides high quality interview clothes, styling advice and interview training to women in need.

The recruiters will launch the partnership with a drinks reception at Hotel du Vin in Birmingham on 19th April from 6-8pm and are inviting women from the city’s law firms to join them in raising much needed funds and resources for this great cause.

Kelly Barker, associate director at Bygott Biggs discusses the partnership;

‘We work in a sector where the ability to find a job, go to an interview and have the skills and confidence to pitch for a role is somewhat taken for granted. However, we know that not everyone is so fortunate and we wanted to be able to do something about that with the skills and resources we have as recruitment experts.

‘As responsible corporate citizens, we are very passionate about finding ways to give back to the local community in which we work and to our industry. Whether that is in careers advice for younger professionals such as our recent cocktails event for the BTSS or our new partnership with Smart Works, the key is finding where we can add value outside of the day to day world of legal recruitment.

‘We are seeing an increasing focus on CSR when interviewing candidates and speaking to our clients within law firms. We all know by now that remuneration isn’t the be all and end all for high calibre candidates – work life balance and flexible working is a major factor but so too is CSR. Hopefully our event and our work with Smart Works will illustrate how we easily we can all contribute to those that need that bit of extra support.’
