Local training specialist Total Training has received its latest accreditation standard for rail courses from the National Skills Academy for Rail (NSAR).

The company has been given an overall silver standard rating, which is considered to be an excellent result within the rail industry. In addition, Total Training received a gold rating on two elements and silver on the remaining two by the assessors.

Michael Smith, Rail Director for Total Training, said: “This great result in our recent NSAR assessment is testament to the dedication and hard work of our rail team.

“In light of the HS2 project becoming a reality in the months and years ahead, this excellent rating means we are very well placed to meet the needs and requirements of our rail customers, and this in turn will deliver improved services to their customers and will ultimately boost their bottom line.”

Kristine Brookes, Rail Trainer for Total Training, added: “We’re delighted to have done so well with our latest assurance assessment and to have received a gold standard in two out of four categories is an excellent achievement for our team.

“Our customers can be confident that their employees are receiving quality training with us and we will be endeavouring to achieve even better results at our next NSAR assessment.”

Total Training offers a range of bespoke and standard training courses for the rail sector on a range of subjects including Personal Track Safety (PTS), Controller of Site Safety (COSS) and Train Operator Liaison Officer (TOLO).
