Our heritage is important......

The Met. is not the biggest hotel in the City and we don't claim to be...we're not the newest either but we're proud that the business people of Leeds have been passing through our grade two listed portals since 1890 and continue to do so in increasing numbers.

Two centuries later, the Met. has moved at the fast pace dictated by businesses in Leeds so that today, after a £12m refit, we can boast one of the finest suites of business meeting places in the region with 19 rooms specifically designed to host gatherings from 2 to 250 people all with state of the art equipment, internet links and large format flat screens .

You can count on our dedicated business events team and in-house technicians to attend to all your needs so if you're with us for a meeting or conference or whether you're holding a meeting for two or two hundred, the same high quality service levels will apply.

We are situated literally 3 minutes walk from the station and the very centre of Leeds, yet we're worlds away from the hurly burly that comes with big city attractions: a quiet corner near the heart of the City. Being so close to the regional airport and motorway network makes The Met. the natural and environmentally sound choice for conferences and meetings, ideally placed to welcome guests and delegates from near and far.

Last year we organised and hosted 1176 events (that's more than three every day) large and small from, (literally) two people to corporate dinners for 220 and more...and conferences of one, two and five day durations.
