Sarah Day is head of the Finance & Projects group in Yorkshire and took over as managing partner of the Leeds office in May 2011. In addition to her commitments in the Yorkshire region, Sarah is an elected member of DLA Piper's International LLP Board, representing the interests of the wider partnership and contributing significantly to the strategic delivery of the firm's global aspirations.

Sarah leads a team which covers a full range of financing work, from ABL, bonds and project finance to real estate finance and structured finance. Sarah personally specialises in corporate and structured finance and asset based funding. Clients include banks, funds and other financial institutions as well as investors and borrowers. With nearly twenty years of experience in finance work, covering some of the most buoyant and more challenging times, there is little she hasn't been called to advise on in these markets.

In her role as managing partner for Leeds, Sarah works closely with her fellow partners to develop DLA Piper's offering in Yorkshire, for the benefit of our clients in the region and further afield. Leading the implementation of a strategic growth plan for Leeds, Sarah ensures that the right people and structures are in place so that clients are given the best advice and service possible. This approach also ensures that opportunities are identified and embraced to secure continued success for the office.
