Brilliant Media help pupils get out and about
A VARIETY Club Sunshine Coach has been donated by Leeds communications agency Brilliant Media to help pupils with special education needs.
The keys were handed over to East Leeds Silc, John Jamieson School and Technology College in North Leeds by The Variety Club, which has supported the school for more than 30 years with funding extensions, providing two Sunshine Coaches and supplying equipment including wheelchairs, walking frames and computers.
Lisa Dunn, the school’s bursar, said: “The latest Sunshine Coach is a replacement for one of our old coaches which had done sterling work but had many miles on the clock. The coaches are a real lifeline for our pupils as they enable them to get out and about and enjoy a variety of activities and attend courses at other colleges.”
The Variety Club’s Yorkshire chairman David Wilson said: “With the fantastic generosity of companies such as Brilliant Media we are able to continue to make a difference to the lives of youngsters across our region.”
