Two senior women who name construction and real estate as their passions will share their knowledge and experience at TheBusinessDesk.com’s upcoming Women In Business Lunch.

Lisa Bowden is head of infrastructure in the North at Mace, supporting clients in the development and delivery of major infrastructure projects.
Angela Barnicle is Chief Officer for Asset Management & Regeneration at Leeds City Council, where she is focused on delivering optimum real estate solutions and realising growth opportunities for the city.
Both will talk about their careers and the industries in which they work in – as well as their aspirations to inspire the next generation of female leaders in their fields – at the lunch on Friday 15 June.
Lisa began her career in construction management and has worked for a number of major contractors. She has been a proud supporter of the development of infrastructure projects over the years, having worked on major projects across the North.
Lisa has particular expertise in public sector led projects. Since joining Mace in January 2017, Lisa has been instrumental in leading the growth of Mace’s infrastructure team. She believes it is important to champion the skills and career opportunities within the sector and encourage more young women to choose a career in construction and consultancy.
Angela has a passion for cities, economic development and with it delivering transformational change and growth. She is a commercial practice surveyor, RICS assessor and registered valuer and has worked in both the public and private sector.
As a director in the Deloitte cities advisory practice, she worked extensively across the UK advising both the public and private sector on real estate matters, organisational design and place positioning. She now leads the Asset Management & Regeneration teams at Leeds City Council, having joined in 2017.
