Making decisions in an atmosphere of increasing time pressure, uncertainty, and conflicting expert opinions creates challenges for any director. This seminar looks at the process of decision making and how critical business decisions are made.
Based on the notion that good decision making is founded on an appropriate blend of analysis and informed intuition, this seminar will discuss a number of approaches that have been developed within the fields of management and decision sciences.
The seminar is intended for directors who are used to making critical decisions but want to develop better frameworks; for senior managers moving to an area where broader, cross functional decision making is required; and for business analysts wishing to acquire new skills and tools to support business decision making.
The seminar will present a roadmap for making winning decisions every time, by alerting directors to common thinking traps and by offering practical remedies.
Ultimately, through the provision of transparent and accessible decision frameworks, directors and managers will be able to gain new insights into the decision problem, develop commitment to the way forward, and produce defensible high quality recommendations.
