Ian heads up the tax department at Mazars' Leeds office where he is responsible for providing advisory and compliance services to both corporate and private clients across a wide range of business sectors, including tax efficient structuring for acquisitions & disposals; financing structures, and key employee incentive arrangements.

A former fully trained Inspector of Taxes with the Inland Revenue and a qualified chartered (ICAS) accountant. He has over 25 years experience in tax, including nearly ten years at his last firm, Grant Thornton, where he was tax partner in the firm's Leeds and Bradford offices.

His client portfolio has included Reg Vardy plc, Formica (worldwide excluding North America), Sevcon Inc, Abbeycrest plc, James Neill plc, Sara Lee Corporation, Associated British Foods plc, and Ring Group, amongst others.
