LDC (Lloyds TSB Development Capital) is the leading mid-market provider of private equity and part of the Lloyds Banking Group.

Since launching in 1981, LDC have completed over 400 investments and have a current portfolio of more than 60 businesses valued in excess of £2billion.

LDC backs ambitious management teams from UK-based companies seeking between £2million and £100million of equity for management buy-outs, institutional buy-outs or development capital transactions, investing across a broad range of sectors, with particular experience in financial services, healthcare, industrials, IT & software, leisure & media, retail & consumer and support services.

The investments are driven at a regional level from a network of 12 offices in the UK - the largest of any private equity firm - working closely with local corporate finance and business communities to create centres of deal-doing excellence.

As part of it's international strategy, LDC opened its first overseas office in Hong Kong in 2008. This division will support UK based portfolio companies for whom the Far East represents an important part of their trading or expansion strategy.
Close working relationships are at the heart of LDC's work ethic, with dedicated teams quickly establishing and enjoying enduring relationships with the management teams they support.

Meanwhile LDC's Value Enhancement Group supports the operational and strategic development of their portfolio companies and drives shareholder value plans. This includes a Partnership Director whose role is to support and enhance shareholder value options via the Lloyds Banking Group and cross portfolio companies.

LDC are passionate about encouraging a sustainable ethos to private equity. This is driven by the 'Charter' - a collection of behavioural principles that underpin the way LDC, collectively and individually, aims to operate in the marketplace. This drives their relationship-based approach with the management teams LDC support and their interaction in the local and national communities.
