Mike has worked at a senior level both agency and client side, and spent ten years in London working at ad agencies Saatchi and Saatchi, Lowes, Euro RSCG and JWT. Among the numerous blue-chip clients he has worked with, he singles out P&G, Nestlé, Barclays, Philips and British Airways as developing his creative and marketing skills the most.

Mike spent five years heading up marketing communications at the 24-hour bank, First Direct, culminating in a doubling of its customer numbers, an IPA Advertising Effectiveness Gold and a British Television Gold award for a TV ad entitled ‘Little Fella!’

He was then appointed marketing director at internet bank Smile.co.uk, where he helped double the customer base to 500,000 in just a year. In 2002, longing for the variety and intensity that agency life had to offer, Mike co-founded and built PWLC into a UK top-30 agency over a three-year time span, was named Adline's 2004 Marketing Services Head of the Year, before leaving to head up Propaganda in the summer of 2005.

Since then, he has helped Propaganda bring in more than thirty new clients, as well as successfully leading a MBO in the summer of 2006, with eight other directors. Mike is currently also Chairman of the Marketing Society (North).
