CONTRACT manufacturer MTL Group picked up two prizes at the Sheffield Business Awards at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre.

Sheffield-based MTL won both the UK Trade & Investment sponsored Excellence in International Trade award and the Wake Smith & Tofield Excellence in Manufacturing award.

Dr Henry Shirman, managing director of MTL Group, said: “We are proud to receive both of these awards from the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and Industry which recognise our investments in our people, our processes and our customers in international markets.

MTL Group is a contract manufacturing group supplying a global customer base in the defence, rail, construction and renewable energy sectors.

The company specialises in the supply of added-value metal components ranging from precision cut parts to high integrity machined fabrications.
