TEXTILE business Leeds Group today warned that its markets will remain "challenging" for the rest of the year but has been cheered by a big leap in the value of its investment in cashmere supplier Dawson International.

Leeds Group made pre-tax profits of £134,000 on turnover of £13.23m in the six months to March 31 compared to pre-tax profits of £315,000 for the same period a year ago.
