SHEFFIELD-based engineering firm Material Advantage Group (MAG) has expanded its operation with the acquisition of Edinburgh firm Nexus Precision Engineering.

The deal extends MAG's supply chain offering and offers access to new customer accounts and a strong management team, which will help it achieve ambitious global development plans.

Nexus, which is based in Broxburn near Edinburgh, is a precision machining business and provides final finishing of metal components to the oil and gas industry.
