YORKSHIRE public relations consultancy Nexnet PR has recruited two media-relations professionals to join its Leeds-based team.

Joanne Mead, 28, a former Yorkshire Young Journalist of the Year, joins from the Halifax Courier, where she was chief crime reporter and where she gained two public-service awards for promoting road safety.  She has been a journalist for six years, having started her career with the Dewsbury Reporter.
