Chapelthorpe Hall sells for £1.1m

A GRADE two-listed building has been bought by an IT management company for £1.1m.
Chapelthorpe Hall in Wakefield has been sold by a private individual represented by the office agency team at CB Richard Ellis in Leeds to Servatech Computer Solutions.
Prior to the sale, the building was leased by specialist fibre manufacturer Chapelthorpe and following the expiry of the company’s lease, the private owner instructed CB Richard Ellis to market the property.
Chapelthorpe Hall has undergone a refurbishment to offer 8,500 sq ft of office space in the main hall and a further 800 sq ft of ancillary space.
The former independent school is set within 5.5 acres of landscaped grounds which form part of Chapelthorpe Village conservation area.
Servatech Computer Solutions will relocate from Headway Business Park in Wakefield where it has been based for the last 12 years.
Steve Spence, sales and marketing director at Servatech Computer Solutions, said: “We have been operating out of a 5,000 sq ft unit for several years and while it was functional, we were looking for an aspirational building that would provide an enhanced working environment for our 32 members of staff.
“The beautiful setting is ideal and the additional space means that we are better able to invite clients and vendors for product launches and demonstrations, in addition to having more room as our expansion plans continue.”
Alex Hailey, a surveyor at CBRE, said: “Chapelthorpe Hall is undoubtedly one of the most stunning properties in the Wakefield area due to its heritage and picturesque surroundings.
CBRE is joint agent on Chapelthorpe Hall with Steve Gibbins and Co.
