Appointments: New head of regulation at Redmayne-Bentley; Bank boosts support for SMEs; and more

STOCKBROKING and investment management firm Redmayne-Bentley has hired Mark Decker as head of regulation, working alongside the firm’s compliance team at its head office in Leeds.

Mr Decker has experience in both sales and compliance roles across all mainstream retail markets. His most recent role was as head of group compliance at Skipton Building Society.

His regulatory roles have also included head of compliance monitoring at Norwich Union (now Aviva) with responsibility for overseeing 1200 investment and equity release sales advisers and head office functions.

He has also spent time working at the IFA’s conduct risk division.

Mick Fox, Lloyds TSB CommercialLLOYDS TSB Commercial, the division of Lloyds Banking Group which supports small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), has recruited Mick Fox as a relationship director in East Yorkshire.

Based in Hull and covering an area including East Riding and Doncaster, he joins a team of 11 working with senior manager Paul Varley and area director Phil Hawker.

Mr Fox joined Bank of Scotland in 2002 and most recently worked as relationship director for corporate and real estate with Lloyds Banking Group in Leeds.

BRIGHOUSE-based lubricants and fuel treatments manufacturer Millers Oils has boosted its plans for growth with a number of key appointments within its operations team.

Jamie Ryan has been taken on as operations director and will oversee operational strategy, quality, engineering, production and logistics.

Lisa Sheppardson, quality manager, and Karolina Piwowarczyk, operations team administrator, have both been promoted from within the Millers Oils ranks as part of a wider initiative that aims to help develop the company’s existing talent.

The operations team will also be bolstered by the appointment of Andy Gent as electrical engineer.
