MORE than 2,000 jobs are set to be established in South Yorkshire after £13.6m of investment was secured.

Local authorities in Sheffield, Rotherham and Doncaster have secured the funding from the Future Jobs Fund to attract investment and jobs to the area.

The award, from the Department for Work and Pensions, will result in more than 2,000 new jobs across South Yorkshire to help people hit by the recession to gain the skills and work history they need to secure long-term employment.
