A WORLD renowned international composer and conductor has launched a new company in Yorkshire.

Producer Tolga Kashif has opened Lightsong Music at Nostell Priory in Wakefield, which will focus on creating independent musical productions, providing fair deals for artists and developing raw talent.

Mr Kashif said that he was inspired to launch the business in Yorkshire rather than in the South East following "overwhelming" support and encouragement from local firms.
