David Parkin on who might replace Marc Bolland at Morrisons

TWO of Yorkshire's top executive headhunters believe that Morrisons' finance director Richard Pennycook is the favourite to replace chief executive Marc Bolland when he departs for Marks & Spencer.
Jonathan Hick, founder of Directorbank, the Yorkshire-based leading provider of executive, non-executive and interim directors, believes Mr Pennycook will be the "internal frontrunner" for the role.

SHAME...I misread the banner headline and got all excited for you David. Instead of "David Parkin on who might replace Marc Bolland at Morrisons", I read "David Parkin might replace Marc Bolland at Morrisons"! On a more serious note, I have to concur with Mr. Hick's comment that "Ken is king", probably the best "grocer" this country has ever seen!

Morrisons still needs stabilty to see the transformation through and move them to the next lebel, RJ Pennycook is the man for the job. I wouldn't want to be the FD who replaced him though, very tough act to follow!
