YORKSHIRE university spin-out specialist Fusion IP has completed a landmark licensing deal with a leading global orthopaedic company.

The deal, which is worth around £800,000, will see the firm use orthopaedic planning software developed by the Medical Physics team at Sheffield University.

Under Fusion's expanded Sheffield University intellectual property (IP) agreement the company has the right to license any university originated IP with half the net income receivable by Fusion.
