TECHNOLOGY-led plastics group Carclo announced today a robust first half performance despite a pre-tax profit slip.

The Ossett-based firm, which supplies plastic components and produces specialist lighting products for several high performance cars by Porsche, Lotus and Bentley, reported that profit before tax for the six months ended September 30 fell from £2.6m to £1.7m.

Carclo said the result showed a "resilient performance" in the current economic climate.
