Yorkshire firms reach tipping point over pension schemes

SOME of the UK's largest corporations, smaller and medium sized firms are remaining committed to employer-sponsored retirement packages.
According to a survey by accountants KPMG more than half of firms with turnovers between £5m and £500m said they agreed that encouraging and contributing towards pensions should be the responsibility of the employer.
