High start-up tide for Yorkshire coast

THE recession has triggered a rush in people from coastal towns and villages wanting to launch their own businesses, according to Yorkshire Coast Enterprise (YCE).
The Scarborough-based not-for-profit organisation, which was recently awarded Putting the Customer First accreditation, said it has advised 30 start-ups and helped 56 jobless people seeking qualifications to find work in the last three months.
