Logistics firm wins £1m sports retailer contract

Logistics operator Advanced Supply Chain Group has scored with a £1m-a-year distribution contract with sports retailer Decathlon.

Bradford-based ASCG will be delivering a 364-day stock replenishment service to 23 of the company’s 29 UK stores.

Robin Shaw, business development manager, ASCG, said: “This is a significant contract win for Advanced Supply Chain, further bolstering our portfolio in the FMCG and retail distribution sectors.

“We look forward to working with Decathlon directly and offering our expertise in transport management and track and trace capabilities.”

Ashely Wright, transport manager for Decathlon UK said: “Advanced Supply Chain has demonstrated a proven track record of delivering a fast, flexible service. Decathlon has very specific technical requirements in order to provide its stores the best quality service, and we felt that Advanced Supply Chain could best meet these demands.”

The announcement of the Decathlon contract win comes off the back of a number of other recent contract wins by ASCG, including BHS.com and Urban Outfitters.
