Data protection company Commvault has launched a Northern office in central Leeds.

The company has taken on an office at Princes Exchange, near Leeds Rail Station, to accommodate growing customer and partner numbers in the region.

Commvault has customers in the private and public sector, counting many NHS hospital trusts, borough and county councils, and universities.

Regional businesses including Leeds-based chemical distribution company Brenntag UK & Ireland, equipment rental company VP Plc, and local government shared services provider Xentrall are also counted as clients.

Malcolm Sheils, sales director North UK & Ireland at Commvault, said: “We are thrilled to have a base in the North, which will help us deliver increased value to our customers as well as nurture our partner network.

“Our unique technical capability has allowed us to capitalise on the market across EMEA. We are seeing a lot of interest in the Northern part of the UK, since I joined the team over a year ago, the Northern commercial territory has grown significantly.

“The sheer growth in the North is the result of our ever expanding technical capability, and we are excited to service our customers and partners with support.”

Three roles have initially been created, with a further nine expected in coming months.
