Roofing firm reaches for new heights with Yorkshire expansion plan

One of the UK’s largest roofing contractors is on a mission to secure more new housing development contracts across Yorkshire after relocating from Bradford to larger premises in Leeds.

Bracknell Roofing, based in Burton upon Trent in Staffordshire with seven other regional depots across the UK, has opened its new office on Beza Road in Hunslet.

The company said the new site will enable it to tender for pitch and flat work roofing contracts on new housing developments and the refurbishment of individual projects, as well as both private and social housing schemes.

Bracknell Roofing’s managing director Simon Smith says that the new office in Leeds will be the “platform for growth” as the company aims to increase its market share in the housing and commercial new-build and refurbishment sectors.

“We are delighted to be moving to a new, larger office in Leeds, as we have an ambitious team that is focused on increasing the presence of Bracknell Roofing locally and securing a range of contracts and projects,” Smith said,

“Bracknell Roofing has been represented in the region for a number of years, but the move gives us greater strength to promote our expertise to the house-building sector for both local and national projects.”

Smith added that the Yorkshire expansion is part of the company’s bigger-picture plan to be at the forefront of government plans to build more homes around the UK.

“The recent launch of the government’s housing white paper and announcements by successive government ministers emphasise the scale of the challenge that the UK faces to build more new and affordable houses,” he said.
