Hire firm hits £22m turnover

Leeds-based hire firm Chippindale Plant has grown turnover to £22m this year.

The company turned over £9m in 2012 and has been growing since then.

This has led to a huge consistent investment into their modern hire fleet along with a recent expansion across the Pennines with 2 new depots in Manchester.

Chippindale’s consistent investment has meant that over 80% of their hire fleet is now equipped with the latest Tier 4i engines.

It has owned by the Chippindale factory since 1949.

Peter Chippindale, joint managing director at Chippindale Plant, said “We believe our growth is a direct result of strategic investment into our infrastructure enabling us to provide excellent support both to our customers and just as importantly our workforce.”

Nigel Chippindale, joint managing director ,said “We now hope to maintain our growth by consolidating and strengthening our current depot network by investing in improvements across our Catterick, Manchester and Newcastle depots throughout 2017.”

Chippindale has recently been listed as Yorkshire’s Fastest 50 in law firm Ward Hadaway’s listings.
