Jobs created as bathroom business launches second Leeds site

Trade and retail bathroom supplier Easy Bathrooms has expanded its Yorkshire footprint with the launch of a second Leeds showroom following a £250,000 investment.

The launch of the 12,000 sq ft site in Birstall, close to IKEA, has created 12 jobs and forms part of the company’s ongoing expansion plans.

Neil Bell, head of retail for Easy Bathrooms said: “We were delighted to open this site as it has such great links to the M1 and M62, making it a perfect location. It offers easy access for both our trade customers and the public, throughout the region and further afield.

“This is our 12th store throughout the country, with our other outlets positioned across Yorkshire and the Midlands. But we won’t stop here — we’re continually looking for new locations.”

The opening of the latest store has also coincided with the acquisition of a 110,000 sq ft warehouse and distribution centre, adjoining the new showroom.

Bell says: “Since we started the business, we’ve grown rapidly and our old space was nearing full capacity. So to support our ambitious growth strategy, we obtained this new warehouse, which is double the volume of our previous one.”

Easy Bathrooms launched in 2012 with its first store on Royds Lane, Leeds. Its other Yorkshire retail spaces are located in Sheffield, Huddersfield, Wakefield and Doncaster.
