Teatime at Leeds fine dining restaurant

Lee Murdoch, head chef at Crafthouse

Trinity Leeds restaurant Crafthouse is expanding its repertoire into afternoon teas.

Launched at Easter, the head chef at the fine dining restaurant , Lee Murdoch, has put his own spin on the British tradition.

Diners can taste an array of champagnes and teas from across the world, as well as sandwiches, fresh pastries, cakes and all-important scones.

Lee Murdoch, head chef at Crafthouse, said: “Afternoon tea is very much a British classic which, no matter the age, everyone loves to indulge in. I have worked closely with our pastry chef to create something that fits perfectly with the rest of the Crafthouse menu, and also puts our own stamp on this delicious institution.

“When it comes to making that perfect afternoon tea, it’s all about a fine balance of those classic British sandwiches and sweet that people love to eat. But this is Crafthouse so expect it to be a little different from the usual.”

The Crafthouse Afternoon Tea menu will launch on Friday 14 April and will be served every Tuesday to Saturday between 2pm and 5pm.
