Industrial park set for refurbishment following acquisition

A West Yorkshire industrial park is set for a major refurbishment after being bought by Ribston, a recently launched property company that specialises in multi-let industrial estates.

Ripley Close Industrial Park, part of Normanton Industrial Estate, is already home to tenants including, Solupak and Flue & Ducting.

The estate, which comprises nine industrial units and totals more than 43,000 sq ft, is to be modernised to create industrial and warehouse accommodation ranging from 4,768sq ft to 23,915sq ft.

James Havery, director of Ribston, said: “We are pleased to have acquired Ripley Close so soon after raising equity for our fund. We believe that the estate has great potential to become a sought after and thriving industrial estate following a high specification refurbishment and focused marketing.”

Iain McPhail, partner with Knight Frank in Leeds, joint marketing agents, added: “Ripley Close is well placed in an established industrial location within a mile of the M62 and close to the heart of Yorkshire’s superb motorway network.

“We are receiving good early interest from local and regional occupiers and expect to see further activity on site once the refurbishment is underway.”

Gent Visick is joint marketing agent with Knight Frank.
